Hope, Seth, and I went to downtown Sendai to on New Years Eve to see the lights. There is a whole street of lit trees up throughout the whole holiday season and Its beautiful. Take a look!

- Ten years ago, I prayed and God gave me a purpose- to talk about him in Russia, China, and Japan. Japan is my first opportunity. I don't speak the language and have done limited reseach on the culture. I am reading and studying, but there is a long way to go for me to even introduce myself, let alone my God. I am enjoying the culture in the meantime (and never intend to stop). God is not a thing to be forced upon people, but a being to be enjoyed, treasured, and respected as he likewise feels about his human creations. He is set apart and just, not to be compared to our human inconsitancies and unfounded pride. It is a delicate dance to converse with people in your own language about who Jesus is let alone in artful Japanese. I'd love your feedback and helpful tips. If you believe in prayer I'd love some.
