Walk to new work place
This is a bit of the neighborhood I see on my way to work at the new campus.
This is the apartment building's trash dumpster. You lift the crow repelling netting and place your labeled back inside . Red is for plastics and green is for burnables. Everything else is bundled and tied with string-your cardboard, paper, shiny paper, newspaper, etc. The Japanese love recycling.
Raman Resturant
Shoko, Hiroe, Kelsey, Hope, Becky, and I went out to Raman and had a blast. Yes, they have resturants entirely dedicated to Raman noodle, or chinese soup as I call it. You get your base raman with different flavoring and then add toppings such as egg, eggplant, cheese, chicken, beef, and so on. We also ate gioza which are kind of like pot stickers.

The second grade class is learning about Australia this trimester and was able to meet a few real Aussies and learn a Australian folk dance. Please enjoy the videos. The kids were tired afterwards but managed to do fine at play time directly after the dance. We were also able to host an Australian girl and she danced with our kiddos.(hint she is the only kid without black hair)

Rolling sushi
My friends Anne and Keven (soon to be married in LA) and Gwen took me out to rolling sushi. The chef takes your order and sends it around on a small conveyor belt. Or, if you come at busier times you can just pick your fancy off the belt. Things are prices according to the plate they are placed on and they tally your bill by your number and variety of plates. I ate whale and some stuff that i have no idea what it was....It is customary to eat sushi in one big bite. If it has extra foliage then eat that in one bite and the rest in your second chomp. Enjoy! I love these ppl!
